"O weeping God, the things I married into! De boys up in de hayloft. The drunken little costdrawer and his brother, the cornet player. Highly respectable gondoliers!" (U3.65)
[*Ed. 'The Gondoliers or The King of Barataria' is an opera by Gilbert & Sullivan, seen here in an Irish production. The characters include the gondolier brothers Marco and Giuseppe Palmieri, and 'a highly respectable brigand'.]
