"Was the clown Bloom's son?
No.

Had Bloom's coin returned?
Never." (U17.985)

From a Dublin guidebook (1895): "The Rotunda [hospital] has 5 concert rooms of various sizes, and in these from time to time negro minstrel entertainments are given, dioramas are exhibited, and conjurors perform. There is also a large circus building attached, where the Charles Hengler troupe has generally appeared for about 2 months or more each summer." This 19c. photo, by Robinson on Grafton street, shows 3 Dublin clowns.
